For the past 61 years, the Kiwanis Club of North Ogden has worked to improve the well being of our community. We wish to thank the citizens of North Ogden for their generosity and support through the years. With that support, club members have constructed or improved many public facilities, aided our schools, and supported and participated actively in traditional annual events.
During the past few years, the Club has provided thousands of dollars to help improve the libraries and teaching materials in the elementary and junior high schools of the North Ogden area. Dedicated teachers in each of the schools have been able to enhance the numbers of books obtained by seeking out thebest sources, negotiating bonus purchases, and receiving additional matching funds from the Weber School District Foundation.
In the spirit of community service, the North Ogden Kiwanis Club willsponsor its Fourth Annual Golf Tournament at the Barn Golf Course, August, 2008. It is our intent this year to double our efforts and results with fundswe hope to raise through the Tournament. We are offering the opportunity for business owners and individuals to assist our community and us by becoming sponsors for the event. Please contact Keith Jacques 737-0963, Wallace Haun 782-7823, or John Reynolds 782-8077.
In addition, the Club will continue the traditional Cherry Days Breakfast andother events throughout the year. Most North Ogden residents have theopportunity to assist the Club in its community efforts by participating in the breakfast. As always, the North Ogden Kiwanis Club is committed to giving children in our community a better place to live and a future filled with hope and promise.
The North Ogden Kiwanis Club graciously extends a welcome to those who wish to join the Kiwanis Club. By expanding our numbers, we could accomplish much more. Club meetings are held at the North View Senior Citizens Center on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 6:30 p.m. Come and help build our community and pay back some for the goodness it has provided for you.
